How do I Address Racism & Discrimination in the Workplace? (Teacher Edition)

This is meant to be a guide for a teacher out there who may be struggling to find the courage to speak up or doesn’t quite know what to say. Schools must do a better job of inclusivity- In the history that is taught, in the teaching staff, in the members of the school board, in the policies/ rules, and in the entire education system itself. For many, these past couple of months have forced people to see a reality outside of the one they live & it’s not pretty. As educators we HAVE to have the unpleasant conversation that many are(and have been) running from for years- The race conversation. But even more importantly we must couple this dialogue with  action.
